Canada captain Kelly Russell with future rugby players at BMO field, August 2011.

A Nomad for over a decade, Kelly Russell has devoted an unimaginable amount of time to being the best athlete she can be.

Starting at the junior provincial level, Kelly has risen through the ranks of the junior national level and has now been playing with Canada’s National Senior Women’s Team for a number of years. With two world cups under her belt (sevens & fifteens) there is a spectacular future ahead of this talented athlete.

Named the national team captain at the 2011 Nations Cup at Appleby College in Oakville, Kelly hopes to lead the Canadian ladies to a tournament win this Saturday vs England!

With the pay-to-play model in effect, the women often put out thousands of dollars to play for their country. Please support Kelly and her teammates by either coming out to cheer them on or contributing what you can to their player fees.
