For the month of April, on every Saturday [April 9, 16, 23 and 30] from 10 a.m. to noon Nomads Rugby will be hosting an Introduction to Girls’ Rugby program at De La Salle College’s turf field.

The club has made great advances in recent years with its junior program; however without a junior girls team we are incomplete. This is especially frustrating given the success of the Nomads women team and its members.

This year we have the resources, including the De La Salle turf and a great team of coaches*, to provide grades 9 to 12 high school girls, regardless of previous rugby experience, with a positive and fun rugby experience.

*Coaches will include Campbell MacNeill, former coach of he Manawatu (NZ) women’s provincial team.

We are asking for your help to spread the word. To help you do so attached please find a poster promoting Nomads’ Introduction to Girls’ Rugby sessions.

If you are a high school student please print it and post it on your notice boards, post it on social media and forward it to the appropriate students, teachers and rugby coaches at your school.

If you are a parent, senior player, alumnus or supporter please share it with your friends and colleagues, or post it on a public notice board.

This is a great opportunity for girls wanting to learn the game and develop their skills, high school teams preparing for the coming high school season and the club’s goal of establishing a junior girls program.

Please help us to make it a success for all.
