<![CDATA[The Toronto Nomads Women went into their last game with Mississauga knowing that they had lost to this team at the same location in 2016. Two minutes into the game nerves were settled as stand-out outside centre Clare Street broke the line with ease, running in a try under the posts from 50 meters out.

The game proceeded in the same fashion with quality ruck ball being delivered by the forwards, bullet passes from scrummy Grace Riviera and slick work from the backline constantly putting the Blues on the back foot. The first half rained tries, and with a string of successful conversions, the score line blew out into a healthy halftime advantage.

The second half mirrored the first as strong ball carry from all eight forwards provided a solid platform to work with. The Nomads backline only needs an inch of space and you can place a large sum on the fact that a break will be made. The interplay between backs and forwards was great to see with a number of opportunities being exploited, that have not been in the past. This interplay was expertly directed by captain Jennifer Russel in the first half, with Sarah Meng stepping in at fly half for the second, showing deft hands and explosive acceleration.

To mention only a few of the players is sacrilege as all 23 were outstanding. The final score of 99-5 reflects their dominance and maintains their stranglehold on the top of the table.

Next up is Barrie Rugby Football Club at home, a team that is hugely improved from 2016, who will provide stern opposition.
