Touch Rugby Saturdays Start January 5!

Wednesday, December 19th, 2018

Join us for Touch Rugby Every Saturday Jan–April at Lamport Stadium

Our outdoor season begins in early May, but we keep those skills sharp all year round starting with indoor touch rugby on Saturdays at Lamport Stadium at 5:00 p.m. All are welcome to join! $10 a session, new players and friends always welcome.

Starting Feb 2, 2019, we will also begin with contract training and special rugby clinics at Lamport Stadium (still at 5:00 p.m.) where we will have two fields dedicated to senior rugby training sessions.

Monday, November 26th, 2018

The Annual General Meeting is Saturday, December 8 at 4:00 p.m., and will begin promptly at that time at The Fountain bar located 1261 Dundas St. West (at Dovercourt Rd.). The AGM will be followed by the 12 Pints of Xmas Pub Crawl to be planned by Andrew Prior (so you know it’s going to be awesome).

All positions on the executive are open–so if you think you’re an epic party planner, run for social! If you think you’re a social media savant, kick Caroline to the curb. Or, if you think you have what it takes to be president, we’re looking for a new president, as well.

The Nomads are a democracy, run by volunteers who work hard to make our club a success. Many of the executive have been serving for multiple years and are ready to hang up their volunteer spurs. They are all willing to onboard for six months to a year, so joining will not be a baptism by fire.

If you would like to know what’s involved, the job descriptions for all positions no the exec can be found here.

All Nomads who paid dues can vote in the election. Fees for a social membership, which earn you a vote, can be purchased day of. Please bring a cheque addressed to the Toronto Nomads for $200.

We look forward to seeing you soon! Please join us for the AGM, as there will be beer! But if you can only make it for the pub crawl, that’s expected to kick off at 6pm and will loop around DuWest. Location to be posted in the Facebook event.
