16s The U16s started a very successful 2007 season over 30 players in total. We were undefeated for the first four games then injuries and vacations took their toll. Our philosophy is that everyone plays so no one is left on the sidelines, everyone has fun and learns to play a better game of rugby. . The U16 team was comprised of players from over a dozen high schools, both public and private, from the Toronto area. Some of the schools include Northern Secondary School, North Toronto Collegiate, Harbord Collegiate, University of Toronto Schools, Upper Canada College, Humberside Collegiate, Oakwood Collegiate, Crescent School, Leaside HS, Metro Prep., Royal St. George's College, Riverdale Collegiate and many more. The Nomads provided coaching assistance at Northern, North Toronto, Humberside, Leaside, Oakwood, Riverdale and others. Under the coaching of John Gilks, Stacy Ritter and Lloyd Dodson the U16 team played a full season of tough competitive rugby. Many thanks to Norm Stalker for his coaching advice and skills. The team was always a contender, they played hard, clean rugby; they were always a pleasure to watch. The Nomads are very proud of these young men. 2008 will be building on last season’s success. The team will be strengthened by the excellent graduates of last year’s U14 program as well as a strong influx of the junior and bantam players from programs in the local schools. The squad will practice as a separate entity but with the U18s. The details of dates, times and locations will be finalized and published on the Nomads website. The coaches had a very difficult job in selecting those players who they felt best represented their team and their teammates - so much talent and dedication. U16 trophies 2007:
