TORONTO NOMADS WOMEN START 2009 SEASON The Toronto Nomads Women’s team is starting the 2009 season in great fashion. We would like to first introduce you to your 2009 women’s executive; Ashley Rycroft will be this year Women’s Director and alongside her, Kathy ‘Taiter’ Tait will take on club captain, Michelle Baker will be your women’s social representative and Ariel Garneau will be representing our ever improving juniors. We are also pleased to announce that our very own coach Kyle will be returning to coach us for this upcoming season. Kyle is anxiously awaiting the beginning of the rugby season, and is eager to get us back into game-shape as only Kyle can. Last year we saw our ability as a team improve by leaps and bounds, however this year, with the new ELVs, a returning coach and a team full of solid talent, this season has the potential to be the most exciting women’s season to date. Although it’s only February, the rugby season is fast approaching (YES! It’s just around the corner). We look forward to seeing everyone (new and returning players) out to indoor training soon. Stay tuned for more information. Last year’s tour to Quebec City was also a GREAT success…soon to be followed up with another exciting women’s tour – dates and destination to be determined. Start saving girls!!!!!! We’re also starting to plan our tour dates for 2010 as this will be the Nomad’s 60th anniversary and we’ll need to celebrate this exciting occasion in Nomad style We look forward to seeing everyone out at training – and please please please don’t forget to dive on the ball!!!!!! (If you don’t know what I’m talking about then you better get yourself out to training…) Cheers, Ashley Rycroft, Women’s Director Kathy Tait, Club Captain --------------------
